Anne's story
Anne Veck has been turning heads in hairdressing for over thirty years both in the UK and around the world. Born in the tiny village of Marquise in northern France, she grew up in Tours in la Loire valley and trained in Paris, gaining the Brevet Professionel Coiffure Mixte.
Fast forward to 1991 and Anne is opening her very first salon Anne Veck Oxford with a second following ten years' later in nearby Bicester.
Alongside running two very busy salons, Anne was making waves in hairdressing awards, shows, education and sustainability.
Starting in 1996 with the National Federation of Small Businesses Customer Service Award , a year rarely goes by without Anne winning a major industry hairdressing or business award. Highlights include British Hairdressing Awards, British Hairdressing Business Awards, Creative HEAD Most Wanted , Association Internationale Presse Professionnelle Coiffure, Haute Coiffure Francaise Trophy and Tribu-te The Big One UK and France.
She first fell in love with the glamour and excitement of our industry when she styled the most beautiful woman in the world, Pryanka Chopra, for her Miss World win in 2000. Anne has loved the big stage ever since. She is especially proud to have presented thirteen times at the wonderful Alternative Hair Show.
Education is a passion and she teaches hairdressing across the UK and Europe, emphasizing essential skills to help hairdressers and salon owners make more money!
Anne is recognized as one of the leading champions of sustainability in the UK hairdressing industry with her ground breaking salon refits in 2012 and 2016 and her sustainable hairdressing tool kits which have been downloaded nearly 2,000 times.
Her work is a unique blend of traditional technique, honed over her remarkable international career with new concepts developed from her continual emersion in important developments in hair, fashion, diversity and sustainability. Hair magazine describe Anne Veck as
